Chillmatic: The Legend of Jimmie Kool Jr by Urban Champ captures a moment in time, although conceptually reminiscent to the muse of its interpolation, sonically it has a feel that is contrary to illmatic. The soundtrack has a smooth vibe with just enough bass to be sunshine state approved. The accompanying lyricism holds the dichotomy of a Goldie locks subject matter(not to deep,not to shallow, just right) along with a melodic flow and delivery. Overall this project gives you a glimpse into life as we know it in present day Duval County.
