California songstress, Maryann, recently released "This is What the Moon Sounds Like" EP. The project has a variety of sounds from Reggae to R&B, but it's definitely not your typical sound. With production by Sbvce, the EP delivers a truly unique experience, as she raps and sings over futuristic sounding beats. Maryann has created her own genre and made a beautiful display of it with this project. I love the mixtape as a whole but if I had to choose a favorite, it'd be "The Long Way" or "Slow Ridin'". Also, be on the lookout around Christmas, she promises to come bearing gifts!
