All eyes have been on Atlanta's young rock stars as of late with the likes of Makonnen, Raury, and Father breaking out with their unique styles. On top of that is list, is Quality Control's newest signee, OG Maco. After releasing a collaborative project with Key!, Maco has been on a whirlwind. "U Guessed It" has garnered a lot of attention for the emcee with 2 Chainz even hopping on the remix (stream below). Here are our top three reasons as to why Maco is the artist to watch.

The expressionism in Maco's music has been one of the key factors to his relatabilty to this rebellious generation. His familiar adlibs, screams, and whooos across the track makes each song just as fun to sing along to as it is to drop in the club. "U Guessed It" has been played all over the nation this summer, even getting dropped by Diplo at Tomorrow World....and the vines, can't forget the vines!

While people are just now getting hip to "U Guessed It", the Atlanta rapper has tons of music out and in the works. Last year's Live Life was led by single "Road Runner" and featured production from Brandon Thomas to Curtis Williams.
It's already won..
I had a chance to sit down with Maco a while back to check out some of his music. From our conversation, say, 6 months ago, this was all in the plan. He talked about a 5 year plan he's had in motion and by his speedy progression, it's evident he's putting it to work. "The thing about it is that everything I’ve ever done I planned it out," stated Maco in a recent interview with Complex.
