We recently reached out to all designers and fashion lines and came across this hidden gem. Times Of My Life (TOML) is a relatively new t-shirt line, as they celebrated their one year anniversary on February 8th. I spoke to them about the history of their brand and they put it to me gently, “Life is a series of moments and those moments create the total story of your life. We want the brand to speak for those people that want to create that dope life story and are not afraid to chase their passion.” I checked out the line and I was quite impressed with designer, James Goins, though he is from the small town of Morristown, Tennessee, it seems as though he has big city ideas with these designs.
From first impression it is clear to see that TOML does not want to be labeled as just another t-shirt brand, during this period of over saturation of t-shirt lines in the fashion industry. Times Of My Life has brought to us some unique designs to choose from, amongst the designs are various graphic tees that incorporate the TOML vision as well as incorporating a few classic pop culture ideas.
“We just want our products to be used as a way that we see the world, kind of like art. We want our products to be visually pleasing and to be conversation starters. We also want to be known as a brand that consistently drops dope products and to make people say [to themselves] "How did they think of that?"
And indeed they do that, I love their Symbols shirt (hint,hint). As an Artist, the Basquiat crowns got me, I’m admiring how our culture is becoming more aware of our history and displaying understanding of the importance of such.
I asked Times Of My Life about their goals and future and as a new line from a small town they just hope to expand, they want to be sold in more boutiques and stores, as well as expand internationally. Who can be mad at that? As far as the future they told me they have a project approaching in the near future that pays homage to one of their favorite 90s movies (which they kept a secret). As a lover of everything 90s I am excited to see what movie is this brand’s favorite as well as how they incorporate such into shirts. I have faith that they will find a way to impress us.
