Complex Magazine gives us two covers this month featuring two of the biggest newcomers in the game right now. Iggy Azalea and Chance the rapper cover the double feature for the magazine's October/November issue. They both discuss their rise to fame and the lessons they've learned so far.
When one thinks of Chance the Rapper, the word unique comes to mind. Native to the home of Chief Keef and Kanye West, Chance's style can't be touched. His artistry comes from the rapper's influences including Eminem and Kanye.
"When I found Freestyle Fellowship, I started getting into the construction of rap," says Chance. "You get better at it the more you do it, you figure out the science and the math behind it."
The rapper receive critical acclaim with the release of his mixtape Acid Rain, with many naming it the second hottest album of the year after Kanye's Yeezus. Chance the Rapper now finds himself getting calls from Lil Wayne and opening up for Mac Miller. He's been touring for the better half of the year and has no signs of slowing down.
As for the lovely Iggy Azalea, the Aussie babe dishes on her public relationship with A$AP Rocky and admits that it won't deter her from dating another guy in the industry.
"I definitely hated his guts and hated my guts for a few months," she told the magazine. "But once you've had a few months to look at things in retrospect you realize maybe you don't hate that person, you hate whatever caused the breakup."
Iggy is now helping out Beyonce in the last leg of "The Mrs. Carter World Tour" and is in preparation to release her debut album The New Classic.
