I got the opportunity to network with upcoming rapper, The Polo John at Encore 8 last week. The emcee has an inspiriting story of growing up without his father to develop his artistic craft at a young age. He had a harsh upbringing in Miami, but John saw rap as a way to escape the vicious cycle of hustling on the streets. Fresh off the release of his debut mixtape, "Who Da F^&* is Polo John, the rapper has been performing at showcases such as Encore 8.
