J. Cole has some major competition for album sales, as his Born Sinner is up against Kanye West's Yeezus. What I see from Twitter, everyone is torn between the two rappers. Some gravitate towards Cole's humbleness, while fans of Kanye believe his arrogance is well deserved. West has numerous years on the NC emcee, but will his new style drive away fans? "Unfortunately", both albums leaked before the June 18th release, which can affect the numbers when they come in next week.
Drake, however, has been showing a lot of love to J. Cole. Not only did he make a guest appearance at the NY Dollar & a Dream concert, he cleaned out the Union Square Best Buy of all of Cole's Born Sinners. Talk about support! The whole thing was captured on video. Cole and Drake copped other CD's including Kendrick Lamar, French Montana, Frank Ocean, Sade and more. Maybe this will give the rapper a heads up.
