It's been 184 episodes and "How I Met Your Mother" has finally revealed the "mother" of the show. There's one more season left in the series, but the comedy started its final countdown on Monday night.
Dedicated fans probably shed a tear when it was shown that the mother was not Robin, but a totally new character. "The whole idea is that Ted's never seen this woman before, so it better feel that way to the audience," said Craig Thomas, the co-creator of the series. In the season 8 finale of How I Met Your Mother, Ted meets the future love of his life, played by Cristin Millioti, at a Long Island Road station as she purchased a ticket tothe fictional Farhampton, spotted in the signature yellow umbrella.
The show has made just as many hints that Robin was the mother as they did that she wasn't. On the contrary, Robin settles down with Barney! We have until the next and final season to see how things turn out for the loveable game.
