Feature Friday: Newcomer DayX
I recently took a listen at some work from newcomer Day X. Nomadic in nature, the rapper found his artistic roots in Washington, D.C. "I found out I was an artist in the nation's capital," says Day X. Surprisingly, he's only been doing music for less than two years, but have grown immensely into his talents of lyricism and production. In the future, he sees himself working with some of the hottest names in the game within the next five years; working, producing, and writing music. His biggest dream is to mass produce music by Jay Z and Kendrick Lamar while running his own label.
Day X recently released a mixtape featuring his latest music where he produces many of the tracks himself. Up next, he plans to drop an EP entitled "DontWorry". This project is based on his past and present struggles that many young people face. He talks on issues like relationships, money, and school, but the most important goal is reaching success.
Take a listen to Day X's Bandcamp and tell us what you think @Broke2Dope #FridayFeature. You can follow him on twitter @ProducedByDAY.
