Can I borrow your book?

Another school year is approaching (if you haven't started already) and the time has come to purchase textbooks! Joy *sarcastic voice*. I bet we all wish books were free like they were in high school. Don't fret, here are some tips to help you save some money on your books:

1. Shop around! Don't be confined to YOUR school's bookstore. Check out local campuses or other bookstores prices. Also, browse online! There are many competitors out there that you are sure to find a great price! Search using the ISBN to get the best results.

2. Rent! Rent your books instead of purchasing them to get a very cheap price. Kindle offers renting options on some textbooks where you can use your book on a smartphone. Check out Chegg.com or Book Renter for great renting options as well! Don't forget to turn them in on time!

3. Share! Find a friend in your class and share the textbook! You all can be study buddies as well! Just don't hog the book!

4. Use the library's copy! You can check out the book with your library for free or use your department's copy. These usually only come with one copy, so first come, first serve!

5. E-books or Older editions! You can save a few bucks by using the eBook or an older edition. Be sure to ask your professor if they will be fine. As long as the assignments are the same, you should be fine!

Books can cost you a lot, but there are many options out there for students. Find the one that is best for you!
