As a broke college student, we're always looking for ways to make a little money on the side. I like to call us "Side Hustlers". Who else can go to class all day, pay bills, and still somehow have a decent social life.We must possess some type of Superhero genetics. I've met a lot of young collegiate entrepreneurs, and they all started out by hustling. This post, I wanted to offer a few tips and suggestions on how to make a little cash on the side. Some things, I've discussed in previous posts, but what can a little repetition hurt, right? Take some notes and apply. You may add a few commas in your bank account ...maybe.How to make some extra cash:
- Open a Savings Account. Simple enough. Putting money into a savings account that yields high interest is a easy way to create extra cash. Just put money into the account and let it grow. How much and how often depends on you.
- Get a Part Time Job. Summer time is almost here, and it's the perfect time to work. Begin now by filling out applications and submitting your resume to places that you are interested in working in. Use resources such as your school's Career Planning office to aid you as well as placing your resume online on job sites such as Monster.com.
- Sell! If you remember from the last post, selling old items is a great way to generate some extra cash. Take your gently used clothing to consignment shops such as Plato's Closet and sell your old electronics on sites like SecondSpin.com. You can also place your items on the Facebook Marketplace or on online auctioning sites like Ebay.One man's trash is definitely another man's treasure.
- Make some money online. You're always online anyways, might as well take the time to fill out a few surveys that offer cash and giveaways. Sites such as CashCrate.com are good places to register and begin filling out special offers.some people have made as much as $4,000. This can be very time consuming, but generates great a decent cash flow. Another option is to write for online articles. If you enjoy writing, sites such as AssociateContent are good places to contribute.The amount you make depends on how well your article does.
- Use Your Skills. Good at something? Use it to make a little cash on the side. Offer your services for an affordable price and promote yourself. Remember to network in order to find jobs and build connections. If you do graphics, meet with small businesses and tell them about your services or connect with people who could use graphic design. In a way, it's like starting your own business.
- Take notes. Literally. Get paid by taking great notes on Notehall.com. Simply register with your school and upload your notes from class. Perfect for a Broke College Student.
Making some cash on the side can be done in many ways. You seen those people who run a babysitting service, do hair, and sell drugs out of their house?
