Love is in the air ...and that tends to require money. Being a broke college student is not the move on holidays, especially Valentine's Day. You're expected to have the best gift that shows how much you love a person, but when does love equate to how much money you have to spend. Here are a few quick, cheap date and gift ideas (if you haven't planned anything yet ...*cough):
1. Cook a romantic meal together or plan a picnic. A simple idea that doesn't require much cash. Just decide on what you'd like to cook, or what to take on your picnic, and enjoy the time together. Don't forget the desserts!
2. Love Coupons! Make cute little coupons offering "Free hour of Video Gaming" or "One free massage". Be creative and the best part is ...it's free!
3.Find a free event! Check out sites like http://www.accessatlanta.com/atlanta-events/?cxnsid=ajcse13392 or http://www.atlantaplanit.com/free/ to find out about free events going on in the city!
4. Explore the city! Take a tour of your town by public transit. A day pass costs about $10!
5. Make a hand-made card. Oldest trick in the book, but the thought and creativity behind your card will make a great gift!
6. Movie night. Put in your favorite movie and spend the night cuddled up, eating junk food.
Whatever the idea, or however long you've been together, always remember it's the thought that counts. As long as you make an effort and think outside the box, you can enjoy an inexpensive, but memorable Valentine's Day! Good Luck, lovers. *muah*
