I hope you don't mind if I get a little personal. I started this blog because I wanted to share advice and tips to college students on how to save a little money and manage it better. Hoping that I can help someone defer from the mistakes I've made ..and there has been a lot of them. No one really taught me how to manage my finances, I just learned if I worked for it, I can have it. I've always had a job, but it seemed like money wasn't around when I needed it to be. Why? I'm more of a spender on the moment and I rarely think ahead. I literally had over 5,000 last year with taxes and a little help from my refund. Where did it go? Down the drain. I realize now that I could have saved a little bit of that money and allowed it to gain interests, I would be so much better off now. Just being young, and immature. But I take the experience as a lesson learned. While my financial skills are still not up to par, I'm working on managing my money a lot better and starting to think a head more. This blog probably helps me more than you all, simply because I'm constantly reading new articles and learning from my past mistakes. I'll definitely share more of my experiences and blunders. I'm sure anyone can learn from what not to do. So, I'm excited and I know this blog will do well because everyone can take something from it.
