1. Check out a free event on campus. Many times, there are events such as talent shows, poetry nights, plays, etc available on campus. Some are free, but most are available for a discounted price for students. Be on the lookout for ones that offer FREE FOOD!

3. Hang out with friends. A simple gathering in a friend's room, such as a movie night by watching them for free online, having a tournament on the Wii or Xbox, or simply just sitting and talking may be all you need for a fun filled weekend.
4. Look for free events going on in your city. Atlanta offers a free comedy show every Sunday night at The Neighbor's Pub, and other events posted on http://www.accessatlanta.com/ as well as www.atlantaonthecheap.com. Also, sign up for Living Social that offers discounts on events and other items in your city!
5. Share the cost with your friends. Get all of your friends together and come up with a plan for the weekend. Divide up expenses and GO! This is one of the best ways to have fun and not have to pay so much out of pocket.
Free is the key to having fun. Be on the lookout for parties that offer free entry and events nearby. Whatever you do on the weekends, always keeps your expenses under control. Don't let the pressure of fitting in have you out of your mean. College is about having fun and enjoying yourself. There are many ways where you can do that and not pay too much. Remember, ask for a student discount!
